Ceremony and reception music

It's a privilege for me to participate in that life-altering, nerve-wracking, joyous thing we call a wedding, and I'd love to help make your ceremony meaningful and memorable.

The harp is a versatile instrument. I can play classical favorites, pop songs, jazz standards, movie themes, Celtic tunes, and more. Tell me your requests!

Ceremony performance from prelude to postlude is $500.

Add additional music for $100/hour.

Playing my harp at at a summer wedding

A friendly beagle joins friends and family at this peaceful wedding in a country meadow.

Harp hymn on a sunny day

I can adapt or arrange a wide range of music for the harp. Here's my renditiion of a favorite hymn, "Spirit of Life."

Why should you have live music at your wedding?

I often tell my clients that a wedding is likely the biggest party any of us will ever plan. It's also an occasion that is meant to be special and celebratory!

Having live music in the air as your guests arrive is a wonderful way to welcome them. And if it's my harp, people will see a graceful instrument, hear vibrant music, and feel a shared sense of anticipation as they settle in. Your guests can freely visit with one another during the prelude time because the harp doesn't overpower conversation, but it can absolutely command attention as it accompanies entrance and exit music!

The following audio samples of my harp music are among my most requested pieces.

Don't see your favorite song here? Ask me about it!

I'm always adding new repertoire and enjoy learning new songs.

Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring

This flowing music by J.S. Bach can accompany a graceful walk down the aisle or simply set the mood as your guests gather before the ceremony.

Trumpet Voluntary

A grand march by Jeremiah Clarke that was used in the wedding of Lady Diana and Prince Charles.

Bride's March (the traditional processional)

There'll be no doubt that the bride has arrived when the harp strikes up this well-known processional by Wagner!

Wedding March (the traditional recessional)

Felix Mendelssohn composed this music for his ballet A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Hymne

Penned by Chariots of Fire composer Vangelis, this moving piece can make a majestic processional or a special wedding harp music interlude.

Simple Gifts

Composer Aaron Copland used this traditional Shaker melody as a recurring theme in his ballet Appalachian Spring, but you might also know this tune as the hymn Lord of the Dance.

The High Mountains

A lilting Irish air that makes your walk up the aisle a lighthearted one!

Prelude in C

This J.S. Bach piece is beautiful as a harp solo, but can also be used as the accompaniment to a melody instrument or voice singing Gounod's Ave Maria.

Gavotte

This spirited dance tune by Carlos Salzedo makes a joyful statement before or after the ceremony.

Menuet

A well-known theme from Mozart's opera Don Giovanni.

Pavane

A festive dance tune by Wachs appropriate for everything from prelude to processional music.

Canon

Although this beautiful work of music by Johann Pachelbel was composed more than 300 years ago, the Canon achieved its greatest popularity in the 20th century through widespread exposure in film, television and advertising.

All in a Garden Green

Though perfect for a garden wedding, this lively Playford tune need not be restricted to outdoor affairs!
